Wood, stainless steel, whitewash, ink print on wood. 2016
Size: 200 x 200 x 1,8 cm
A room divider / screen wall, made out of four parts, where the abstract B&W pattern is printed with ink directly on whitewashed birch wood.
Automatically the work creates a secluded private, hidden, exhibition space behind itself. The abstract pattern is based on contemporary urban collages that was photographed and collected in the alley systems of Beijing (CN) during an Artist in residence that was generously provided and supported by the Mondriaan Fund.
Here seen in the exhibition Quintessence at Dapiran Art Project Space (photographs on the walls in the two last photographs by Popel Coumou)
Print made in collaboration with Exposize
