On Thursday, December 12, 2024, Amsterdam Museum will open the doors for the grand opening of the exhibition Women of Amsterdam - an ode.

My new work 'Partition #9 (sphere for Thea)' will be on view and is commissioned by Amsterdam museum for this inspiring exhibition. This work is made in memory of my friend Thea Bakker (1951-2023), for our right to make choices, about equality, kindness, and truly seeing one another.

The exhibition opens on December 12 and will be on view until August 31, 2025.

Their story, and why they were important, will be told. Next to this, 10 contemporary artists have created a tribute to these iconic women. Meet women, each of whom has influenced the history of Amsterdam and deserves a place in our collective memory."
