On Friday, March 13, textiles take center stage! During the evening program Lakenhal Laat, the focus will be entirely on textiles, in collaboration with the Stof Bond.
In Meet the Artists, curator Julia Geerlings will speak with theater maker and artist Geert Sweep, graphic designer Vera van de Seyp, and visual artist Charlott Markus. How do they incorporate textiles into their work? And how do textiles relate to other art disciplines?
In this edition of Lakenhal Late, we’ll explore the limitless possibilities of textiles together with Leiden’s textile platform, STOF BOND. You can listen to various creators during the artist talk, try your hand at knitting or weaving at the Knits and Notes Knitting Rave, or create your own costume in no time in our studio. Our tour guides are ready to dive deep with you into the history of Leiden, the city of textiles.
